AC Rehab Products provides experienced service and parts for most brands of motorized mobility products. Our technician will come to your home and do a thorough evaluation and diagnose the problem with your mobility product. We’ll provide you with a written estimate of repair/service costs so you know what to expect and our expert technician will take care of the rest to get you back and mobile quickly!
AC Rehab Products charges a one-time $80 service call fee. This includes all labor charges.
Batteries
Like any piece of equipment, power wheelchairs have moving parts that can break down or need replacing. Batteries are the most common culprit. In order to keep your batteries working well, it’s a good idea to recharge them every night whether you use them or not. If you store them over the winter or don’t regularly charge them, they’ll die and need replacing.
Powerchair Programming
Power wheelchairs come from the factory with pre-set programming, but it is important to program the chair specifically for the individual and for the environment in which he or she will use it. It is common to adjust the minimum and maximum speeds, accelerations and decelerations available for forward, turn, and reverse movements of power wheelchairs.
Joystick Controllers, Tires and Motor
Other typical repairs to electric wheelchairs are joystick controllers, tires and sometimes the motor. If we have to order parts, we’ll write up an estimate for you.
